Why do you think conservatives, by and large, attribute moral character to?
sexual activity?
Now, I will grant you that many types of sexual behavior are risky and manifestly dangerous to one’s health, but by what objective standard would two horny teenagers sleeping together be immoral, for example?
I know every male reading this who wasn’t having sex as a teenager was not abstaining voluntarily.

I’m honestly not sure. I always figured it was an issue of taboo rather than morality.
Like "everybody does it but nobody talks about it" kinda thing.
It mostly stems from Christian upbringing and society.
I wasn’t even raised Christian but talking about sex with my parents was something I never did and still feel creepy about.

I’m a Conservative and I don’t think that narrowly.
Morals cover a lot of ground besides sexual activity.
As for the two teenagers, it could be your desire to kill the baby they make that is the most immoral act.

That’s the religious right. You know, the people on the fence claiming abstinence, ignorance, and telling teens that they will burn in hell if they have sex actually works.
The objective standard is the Holy Bible, which states that such activity is wrong.

I cannot imagine anyone saying morality=sexual activity.
A reasonable person would use sexual activity as one indicator, nothing more.

If they DO attribute moral character to sexual activity, they’re the worst offenders, IMHO.
That’s untrue. Moral character is much more than sex. It involves things like a man’s word is his bond, never ask someone to do for you what you can do for yourself, faithfulness, honesty and hard work.
I went and knocked up three different girls when I was younger. I never helped them out at all. They had to get abortions or raise the kids by themselves, because I couldn’t care less. I also gave them all herpes.
Morals are not based on your politcial view points or atleast it shouldnt. It SHOULD be the opposite.
Poor girl gets pregnant. Who’s going to pay? Either tax money for abortion or welfare.

Conservatives consider the result of their actions and act accordingly. Liberals live for today and expect conservatives to take care of them later.
If you really do think this – then you need to so some study on the subject of ethics and morals.
My biggest concern about teenage sex is that neither party is mature enough to raise a child.
