Having problems washing my uncircumsised penis?

I am 16 and have and uncut penis. My problem is that when i retract the foreskin my head is very very sensitive which makes washing hard to do, so i dont do it that often.Which is bad because it then gets a weird odor. Any advice?

  1. Definitely dont go crazy with using soap or other cleaners, it can cause problems by removing the good bacteria. Typically you should pull back the skin and hand rinse the area after you are finished using other shampoos/body wash. This way the soap/shampoo/etc dont "settle" on/in the penis. Once you are done in the shower dry the outside/inside of the foreskin, dont scrub, just "dab".

Everyone will produce an odor, and if you follow the above cleaning method you should be fine and the soreness should go away… unless you have some sort of infection, in which case, something like monistat should be used… not antibacterial soap.

Just grin and bear it. I find it quite tickly actually.

  3. You will have to do the cleaning job regardless of how sensitive the head gets. If not, it will only get worse. Consider cleaning under the foreskin without retracting it over the head.

  4. Maybe you should try talking to your doctor and telling him about this problem. You cannot go through life without washing your penis or else your gonna stink really bad but you cannot go through pain washing it.
I am sure there are pills you can take to makes the skin firm and less sensitive.

  5. When washing your penis, do it in a shower, use warm water. Do Not use a large sponge or anything like that as it is what is giving you un-comfort. The best thing to do is pull back the foreskin to expose the glans and wash it a little, preferably with body wash or something like that do not use soap because the foreskin will burn, not in literal meaning but it will be bothersome, it will probably be best to use your fingers after they have some body wash or something and wash the skin as well as the glans (head) of the penis which is the area that gets dirty, the smell may be that you are not maintaining your penis clean, after you urinate it is recommended to shake the penis so that you remove the excess urine that may cause irritation and prevent getting an infection. If you have any other questions feel free to ask me.

Perhaps bathing the penis in water, rather than cleaning under a shower maybe the answer. Keeping a clean penis is vital for sexual health. The odor will be caused by bacteria that are growing under your foreskin and the can cause other sexual diseases to flourish in your penis increasing you and any sexual partners chance of catching the disease. (This only applies if you are sexually active of course)

I suggest using a sink or bowl to wash the penis, and you may find that sensitivity will decrease over time if you continue to wash regularly. If you still have further problems I would advise you to seek medical advice from a doctor.

you should retract it when you use the restroom, so its in the habit of being moved.

Start off by just using your hand. Pull back the foreskin and lather it up with soap and water using just your hand (like you’re jerking off). Then rinse off. About a month after doing that every day, it will be a little less sensitive and you should be able to use a washcloth on it.

You will find it less painful the more you expose and "use it" (i.e. masturbate) and gradually the oversensitivity will lessen, until all you feel is pleasure. A gentle way to start touching the head is by using the shower spray. Also use water-based lubricant when touching the head directly and this should be more comfortable.

How about soaking in the tub.
