Therefore, medical advances came up with this new technology in which with the help of vacuum the penis can be held erect for a longer duration of sexual act.

Penis Pump
So this pump comprises of a tension ring which is basically used for holding the blood flow in the penis which due to the diseases is hampered. This ring is attached under a cylinder like structure which is pitted from the centre. Next step is to lubricate the cylinder as well as the penis. Lubrication can be done by water or petroleum based lubricant. It should be applied at the bottom of the penis and also on the cylinder both outside and inside. It is essential so that it ensures easy penetration of the penis at the time of the intercourse. Nonetheless, this lubricant also prevents dryness. It must also be considered that the pubic hairs are shaved are removed as they might contribute in loosing of the grip of the tension ring or cause stretching of the hair. Also, it can confirm the sealing of the cylinder and the penis.
This cylinder must then be fixed onto the penis tightly. The pump suction is applied using a thin tube that creates a vacuum in the device. The pressure in created by an individual manually or electrically for the erection of the penis and this pressure is provided only till the penis is erect. This is because excessive pressure would make the penis go numb, leave marks of bruises, excessive pain etc.
Later the tension band which was attached to the cylinder is brought down to the base of the penis to maintain the stability of the penis. However, the tension ring should not be held on the penis for a longer duration as it can have adverse effects on the penis.
