Would it be better to see a urologist over a regular family doctor for penis and testicle problems?

i have personal questions about my penis, but i am also pretty sure i have varicocele…is the urologist the specialist in the male reproductive area?..or is there a more qualified person?

urologist would be the correct person to see. you cant go straight to a specialist like a urologist though normally. i would make an appointment with your general doctor first. see what he has to say, and if needed he will reference you to a urologist.

Edit: do not listen to sushil

  3. If I were you I would personally choose to see a urologist over a family doctor. When it comes to the male area a urologist specializes in that field and would be more helpful for you. I bet your family doctor would even recommend you to see a urologist if it was a major concern because of their specialty.

  4. Urologist is the way to go. final answer
