Male-Teenager, Sexual Health Worry?
I'm 14, I've just started talking freely about sex and things with my "girl"friends. Just friends who are girls. Me and two other guys, and 2 other girls are in a kind of group in the holidays, we hang out, and we started joking about having sex with each other (will take too long to explain all of it) and basically, when the girls left we started saying, oh yeah when would you get a BJ off her etc, and all my friends were up for it right now, i'm not and its because of this thing i have, the foreskin on my penis doesnt retract because of a small band of red skin? i think is restricting it to go down. So i'm worried about this, can anyway shed some light on this thing that i appear to have wrong with me

Its not that i'm going to have sex soon! i'm just worried that i cant pull back my foreskin otherwise this band of skin will rip and be painful? think about how embarrasing that'll be!

Well that depends, I think the band of red skin is normal but if it's restricting your foreskin from going down or if it hurts when you pull it it might not be normal I suggest you tell your father he might know if it's normal or not..

There is nothing wrong with you. If shes a virgin she will not know what a penis looks like anyway. Relax go slow, and be safe please. Use protection. Be open and maybe worn her about it. Everything will be okay.

But if your really worried I suggest seeing your doctor.
Explain the problem to your parents so they can schedule an appointment for you with a Urologist for evaluation. By the way, embarrassment is NOT FATAL.

this is quite normal actually, a lot of men/boys have to get circumcised for just this reason. you should make an appointment with your doctor and just ask him. he will evaluate and most likely give you some possible ways to fix it, but ultimately he might tell you a circumcision is necessary, and in this case i wouldn't worry to much because its not a terrible procedure and it heals after a few weeks. but that may not be the only way to fix your problem. just go ask its not that embarrassing, thats what doctors are there for, to help you be healthy!

Read up dude on your penis on wikipedia. Well, not yours, but uncircumcised penises in general. The average age for the foreskin to detach from the head and be able to retract is 15, so don't rush things. Also keep in mind that fully 50% of all guys never have retractable foreskins, and are perfectly normal and natural. But at 14 too early to have any concerns, unless you have pain from a too tight foreskin over the head– which is really rare. Ignore these guys who say you should pull on it and try to rip it over the head, that's stupid and not medically advisable. More than likely many of your guy friends look just like you down below too. Good luck.
