Why is it important for males and females to avoid imposing their sexual urges on others?
Also What are the benefits of practicing abstinence from sexual activity?
I want to know the different opinions of people based on these questions for a survey I’m taking in Health.
Take in mind that these questions are really for teenagers not adults.

I used to go to conservative churches that teach that abstinence crap, and I learned that the leaders of these churches actually crack jokes about 30 and 40 year-old virgins behind their backs. Now I just send my Christian friends to the site below which debunks the whole thing against premarital sex in the Bible. It covers same-sex lifestyles too. I hope it helps you.

…you sound like a Virgin or some one who hasn’t known true love. You should be able to answer that question on your own if you weren’t one (or both) of those two descriptions…
It’s not. If two people ‘click’ and they want to "do it". Then that is perfectly normal. There are no benefits to abstinence unless you really enjoy using your hand.
Maybe it has to do with the fact that sexual desires are usually private, so it’s not meant to always be a public thing.
There is no benefit from practicing abstinence. For example, men who don’t really sperm, thorugh sex or masturbation, could develop prostate cancer. Also, it holds in a desire that is bound to pop out. In human nature, where going to eventually want sex, and it’s not good to keep that bottled inside.

What exactly do you mean by that? Are you saying people should avoid sexual contact? I totally disagree with that. Sex is one of the most natural things for humanity, and so is sexual desire. As long as everyone participating are consenting, I see no reason to avoid sex.
As far as abstinence… well, you cant get an std or preg that way. However, I think its actually unhealthy to repress sexual desire and sexuality.
